A TASTE OF LA CRUZ will feature a unique blend of businesses, services and restaurants including Alamar, Anfitrion, Arroyos Verdes & Restaurant Bambu, Bucerias Body Works, Café des Artistes, Cornerstone Hospital, Café La Esquina, Duendee Coffees, eSun Energy, Frascati, A Hand In The Kitchen, Huanacaxtle Bar-Café, Luna Lounge, Masala, New World Gym, Oso’s Oyster Bar, PEACE, Pets Gone Wild, Puerto Bahia, Sandrina’s, Sandzibar, Simply Baku, (Mariscos) Tino’s, Todo Vela Mexico, Vallarta Gardens, Vera Café, Vinos & Wine, Ken Wall A/C and Xocolatl by Roberto’s with MANY more being added daily. In addition, over 30 local artisans, craftsmen and purveyors will be offering their unique regional art, clothing and food.
The exciting musical lineup features some of the Bahia’s most popular and accomplished musicians. La Cruz’s own Latcho & Andrea (the Blond Gypsies), the Banderas Bay Jazz All-Stars (with Chas Eller, Bryan Savage and Lazaro Poey), Luna Rumba (with Cheko, Rodolfo Gonzales, Silvia Basurto Castellanos, Paolo Uccelli and violinist Geo Uhrich) and Harold Carrazana & Rumba Mix with his exciting dancers will entertain in the Xiriki Marina Amphitheater throughout the afternoon and early evening.
This year’s event has the full backing of the state of Nayarit Departamiento del Turismo, the CVB (Convention & Visitor’s Bureau) and RIVIERA NAYARIT. They have pledged to support the event with a news conference, promotional displays throughout Riviera Nayarit) and film crews at the Marina during TASTE OF LA CRUZ. Based on the success of TASTE OF LA CRUZ in 2012 and the additional support from the state of Nayarit this year, attendance at this year’s event is expected to well exceed 2000 visitors from throughout the Bahia as well as Tepic, Guadalajara, Mexico DF, and Leon/Guanajuato.
Proceeds from this year’s very special event will benefit the Junior Sailing Program of the La Cruz Yacht Club, Busca Un Amigo in Puerto Vallarta, Manos de Amor Orphanage in Bucerias and the PEACE Action For Food Program (formally called Work For Food) in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
The Marina Riviera Nayarit is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual TASTE OF LA CRUZ to be held Saturday January 12th, 2013 at the Malecon and Xiriki Amphitheater of the Marina Riviera Nayarit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. This year’s much anticipated event will benefit The Junior Sailing Program of the La Cruz Yacht Club and PEACE’s Action For Food program in La Cruz.
The 2013 TASTE OF LA CRUZ will feature a unique blend of businesses, services, restaurants and musicians from throughout the Bahia de Banderas and Riviera Nayarit. Event organizers are encouraging these entrepreneurs and restaurants to sign on for the mid-January event as quickly as possible to ensure a space on the Malecon. TASTE OF LA CRUZ offers a unique opportunity to promote commerce to an excited, captive audience.
The 2013 installment of TASTE OF LA CRUZ is being supported and promoted by the state of Nayarit Departamiento del Turismo, the CVB (Convention & Visitor’s Bureau) and RIVIERA NAYARIT with a news conference, promotional displays throughout Riviera Nayarit and film crews at the event. Last year’s first-ever event was a phenomenal success and attracted 1,200 visitors to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and the Marina Riviera Nayarit. Exhibitors were unanimous in their praise of the expo/fair in its effectiveness in providing an exciting and vibrant avenue for the promotion of their businesses. Visitors were likewise thrilled with the festival atmosphere, delicious food and drink and the variety of intriguing businesses and entrepreneurs in such an impressive setting.
